My Grave

You come here every day,

Trying to find the heart to say,

The love you thought you lost to pain,

Has been rekindled again,

Pretty brown eyes haunts your daydreams,

Waking up with a smile too good to be true it seems,

Every time your heart skips a beat,

Guilt nagging in hindsight makes you sigh in defeat,

I wish you could muster up enough courage,

To break the walls of this self built cage,

And realize that loving again is no sin,

Not giving in doesn’t mean that you win,

This is not a war that you must conquer,

You breathe to live not to suffer,

For I may be a star you look up to at night,

I am unreachable when the sun shines bright.
